Those who follow this blog might have noticed that for the past few months, I have not been posting in my regular bi-weekly rhythm. I have had a couple of life transitions that have made it hard to keep up with. I am hoping to get back to posting regularly in the new year. I wanted to take the time to give a brief update on these transitions and ask your prayers for these new exciting chapters.
The most exciting of these transitions is my wife and I welcomed our son into the world. Becoming parents has brought a lot of changes to our lives, but our son is such a joy. I could not have imagined loving him as much as I do. He is a healthy and happy baby. He makes being his father such a joy and I am so excited to be his dad throughout my life.
The second transition is in my vocational life. I have begun a new position teaching Bible to middle schoolers at Atlantic Christian School. I am so grateful I get to fulfill my sense of calling to help others know Jesus in this setting. For the last several years, I have not been able to exercise my love of Bible and theology and sense of calling to ministry in my vocational life. I am so grateful for this new opportunity. I teach three periods of 7th graders an Old Testament survey, one period of 8th graders New Testament survey/Church History overview, and one period of 6th graders Biblical worldview. I appreciate your prayers as I teach God's Word to approximately 90 middle schoolers each day.
I look forward to resuming writing on this blog in the new year and that we can continue our journey following Jesus together.
Congratulations! :-)
